THE STORY WEAVER
A two part tale of Love, Magic and Betrayal
Part 1. SPELLBOUND by Julie A. D'Arcy
An odd quirk of fate returned Isabella Barton to her grandmother's
ancient mansion. Yet nothing could have been odder than casting a love
spell only to find it worked. How was she to know her grandmother had
been a witch! Zacharias was tall, broad of shoulder and First Sorcerer
to the King of Layleah. He never expected to be hurtled into the
future, ripped from the land of his birth. But here he was, called
forth by a violet-eyed vixen who stole his heart and his soul. Now he
had a decision to make -- stay or leave. He didn't expect she'd also
have the ability to ignite a passion he'd never known.
Part 2. DUST AND MOONLIGHT by K. Celeste Bryan Now, two decades later,
Kira, daughter of Isabella and Zacharias, is hot on the trail on a
sequential killer . . . but something goes awry when she clutches her
father's gold medallion as the maniacal slasher closes in for the
kill. Kira is transported to the fantastic, mystical realm of Layleah,
her father's homeland. There, she encounters Balion, the light-prince
of her dreams. Somehow, some day she'll return home, but what will she
do about Balion, the only man who can awaken the long-suppressed
hunger she thought only existed in fairytales.

Well
done! Four and a half stars!
STORY WEAVER is not just a book about magic. Magic
rules, yes, but the characters in the story have their
own unrealized needs for love that are answered in
unimaginable life changes for them as the Story
Weaver, and the witch who opposes him, interfere in
human affairs. The book, in two parts, by two
different authors, meshes seamlessly, keeping the
reader glued to each page. I found this a fascinating
fantasy and highly recommend the story.
